นาย ทองมา เปรียบยิ่ง เป็นบุตรชายคนโต จากพี่น้อง ๗ คน ของพ่อดิน และแม่ลุน เปรียบยิ่ง ปัจจุบันอายุ ๕๐ ปี ปัจจุบันอาศัยอยู่ บ้านเลขที่ ๒๐ หมู่ที่ ๑๒ บ้านโดนเลงใต้ ต.ทมอ อ.ปราสาท จ. สุรินทร์ หลังจบการศึกษาภาคบังคับในสมัยนั้น ทองมาก็ได้ออกมาช่วยครอบครัวทำนาและใช้วิถีชีวิตชนบทมาตั้งแต่บัดนั้น จวบจนย่างเข้าวัยหนุ่ม อายุได้ ๒๒ ปี ทองมาเปลี่ยนวิถีชีวิตมาเป็น “นายฮ้อย” ค้าควายอยู่ที่จังหวัดชลบุรี แต่ทำได้เพียง ๑ ปี ก็ย้อนกลับมาสู่วิถีชีวิตแบบเดิม พ.ศ. ๒๕๓๖ ได้ สมรสกับนางประสพ เปรียบยิ่ง มีบุตรและธิดารวม ๓ คน
