55. หากพิจารณาระดับการคึกษาสูงสุดของประชากรวัยแรงงานอายุ 25 ปีขึ้นไป แรงงานประเทศไทยประกอบด้วยผู้ที่จบการศึกษาต่ำกว่าประถมศึกษาเป็นส่วนมาก ตามด้วยมัธยมศึกษา(ตอนต้น) มัธยมศึกษา(ตอนปลาย) และอุมศึกษา ซึ่งหากเปรียบเทียบแนวโน้มระดับการศึกษาของประชากรวัยแรงงานของประเทศไทยจากปีพ.ศ. 2549 ถึงพ.ศ. 2544 พบว่ามีแนวโน้มการเพิ่มขึ้นของแรงงานที่จบมัธยมศึกษา(ตอนปลาย) และการลดลงของแรงงานที่จบการศึกษาต่ำกว่าประถมศึกษา ในขณะที่สัดส่วนของประชากรวัยแรงงานที่จบระดับอุดมศึกษายังค่อนข้างคงที่ (ภาคผนวก: แผนภูมิที่ 7)
