การศึกษาผลกระทบของอุตสาหกรรมที่มีต่อชุมชนในเขตพื้นที่บางขุนเทียน กรุงเทพมหานคร มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาผลกระทบของอุตสาหกรรมที่มีต่อชุมชนในเขตพื้นที่บางขุนเทียน กรุงเทพมหานคร ขนาดตัวอย่างจำนวน 400 คน ผู้วิจัยใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลทางสถิติใช้โปรแกรม SPSS for Windows สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ การแจกแจงความถี่ การหาค่าเฉลี่ย การหาค่าร้อยละ ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน สถิติที่ใช้ในการทดสอบสมติฐาน คือ การวิเคราะห์ความแตกต่างโดยการหาค่าที (t-test) และใช้สถิติทดสอบ F-test ในการวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนทางเดียว (One Way Anova)
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ประชาชนมีความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับผลกระทบของอุตสาหกรรมที่มีต่อชุมชนในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง เมื่อพิจารณาเป็นรายด้าน พบว่า ด้านที่กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีระดับความคิดเห็นอยู่ในระดับมากคือ ด้านเศรษฐกิจ รองลงมาด้านที่กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีระดับความคิดเห็นอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง คือ ด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม และด้านสังคม รวมทั้งผลการเปรียบเทียบความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับผลกระทบของอุตสาหกรรมที่มีต่อชุมชนในเขตพื้นที่บางขุนเทียน กรุงเทพมหานคร พบว่า ปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลที่ไม่มีผลต่อความคิดเห็นคือ เพศ สถานภาพสมรส ระดับการศึกษา อาชีพ และรายได้ส่วนตัวเฉลี่ยต่อเดือนที่แตกต่างกัน ไม่มีผลต่อความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับผลกระทบของอุตสาหกรรมที่มีต่อชุมชน แต่พบว่าปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลที่มีผลต่อความคิดเห็นคือ อายุ และระยะเวลาที่อาศัยอยู่ในชุมชนที่แตกต่างกัน ผลต่อความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับผลกระทบของอุตสาหกรรมที่มีต่อชุมชน จากผลการศึกษาอาจจะเป็นเพราะว่า ประชาชนที่มีอายุมาก และอาศัยอยู่ในชุมชนเป็นระยะเวลานาน จะเห็นการเปลี่ยนแปลงของชุมชนเมื่ออุตสาหกรรมเข้ามา และได้รับผลกระทบที่เกิดขึ้นทั้งด้านเศรษฐกิจ ด้านสังคม และด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมที่เกิดขึ้นมากกว่าประชาชนที่มีอายุน้อย และประชาชนที่เพิ่งย้ายเข้ามาอยู่ในชุมชน
