ซีพี ออลล์ใช้เวลาพัฒนาระบบจัดส่งสินค้ามานานกว่า 20 ปี จากระยะแรกที่ให้ซัปพลายเออร์ไปผู้จัดส่งสินค้าให้สาขาโดยตรง แต่เมื่อสาขาเริ่มมีจำนวนมากขึ้นประมาณ 20 สาขาระบบเดิมไม่สามารถตอบสนองการส่งสินค้าได้รวดเร็วเพียงพอแล้ว จึงต้องปรับรูปแบบการขนส่งเป็นแบบรวมส่ง ด้วยการตั้งศูนย์กระจายสินค้า (Distribution Center : DC) ขึ้น ถือเป็นผู้บุกเบิกระบบการกระจายสินค้าผ่าน DC เป็นรายแรกๆ ของเมืองไทย

จากนั้นบริษัทฯ ได้นำระบบ Warehouse Management System (WMS) มาใช้ในการบริหารจัดการสินค้า และระบบ Digital Picking ซึ่งเป็นการจัดและขนส่งสินค้าด้วยระบบดิจิตอล ซึ่งจะทำให้จัดสินค้าได้ตรงตามใบสั่งซื้อของแต่ละสาขาได้อย่างรวดเร็ว และถูกต้อง

สำหรับระบบ DC จะแบ่งออกเป็น 2 ประเภท ได้แก่ ศูนย์กระจายสินค้าอุปโภคบริโภค (Dry Grocery Distribution Center) เช่น ของแห้ง, เครื่องดื่ม, ของใช้, เครื่องเขียน เป็นต้น และศูนย์กระจายสินค้าควบคุมอุณหภูมิ (Chilled Distribution Center) ของสดต่างๆ เช่น นม, ไส้กรอก , ข้าวกล่อง เป็นต้น ซึ่งทั้งสองประเภทมีธรรมชาติในการเก็บรักษาและขนส่งต่างกัน นอกจากนั้น การเลือกทำเลที่ตั้งของ DC แต่ละแห่งก็เป็นสิ่งจำเป็นเช่นกัน โดยบริษัทฯ จะพิจารณาจากทั้งเรื่องของการเดินทางขนส่ง ความหนาแน่นของจำนวนสาขา ตลอดจนยอดขายของพื้นที่ต่างๆ เพื่อให้แต่ละ DC สามารถบริการคลอบคลุมพื้นที่ต่างๆ ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ

ในปัจจุบันมีศูนย์ DC รวมทั้งสิ้น 6 แห่ง แบ่งเป็นในกรุงเทพฯ 2 แห่ง ได้แก่ดีซีบางบัวทองมีพื้นที่ 2.5 หมื่นตารางเมตร ให้บริการครอบคลุมพื้นที่ภาคกลาง, กรุงเทพฯ และปริมณฑล จำนวน 2,450 สาขา และ DC สุวรรณภูมิ มีพื้นที่ 2.2 หมื่นตารางเมตร ให้บริการครอบคลุมพื้นที่ภาคกลาง 4 จังหวัดและชลบุรี จำนวน 1,798 สาขา

ศูนย์กระจายสินค้าภูมิภาค (RDC) 4 แห่ง ได้แก่ จ.สุราษฎร์ธานี มีพื้นที่ 1.2 หมื่นตารางเมตร ให้บริการครอบคลุมพื้นที่ 14 จังหวัดภาคใต้ จำนวน 845 สาขา , จ.ขอนแก่น มีพื้นที่ 1.2 หมื่นตารางเมตร ให้บริการครอบคลุมพื้นที่ 16 จังหวัดในภาคอีสานจำนวน 855 สาขา, จ.ชลบุรีมีพื้นที่ 1 หมื่นตารางเมตร ให้บริการครอบคลุมพื้นที่ในภาคตะวันออก จำนวน 520 สาขา และ DC ล่าสุด จ.ลำพูนมีพื้นที่ 1.7 หมื่นตารางเมตร ให้บริการครอบคลุมพื้นที่ 14 จังหวัดภาคเหนือ จำนวน 643 สาขา
