MES safety team conducted an LMRA confirmation in the MY, the worker answered all questions, and was knowledgeable with LMRA. However during a walkround with the client MY manager, several workers were found not too have been trained in LMRA, all new workers should be trained during the induction process, upon investigation the VPE training manager stated he did not have time to train the workers during induction, the VPE system has failed. VPE senior safety manager is investigating. VPE Senior safety manager conducted LMRA practical training during the mass TBT, it is good to see VPE being proactive, the VPE MD was onsite and addressed the workers during the morning TBT, he confirmed VPE commitment to safety. An Alighnment meeting was held with MES VPE and FLS, to ensure everyone understood project responsibilities, the org chart was explained, and the FLS loading operations from MY to Port. No BBSO confirmation was carried out by MES this week. MPR first lift was carried out, this was well planned and executed, MES Snr site safety Mr Suradej, did a good job reviewing the plans, and ensuring all safety controls were in place before the lift started, also the Construction manager was on site ensuring the job went safely and smoothly, well done to the team. I had a Discussion with VPE Senior safety manager to ensure all proper controls in place for night time work, including radiography and TSA. VPE assured MES that all was in place. The mass TBT is conducted in Thai, at the moment one of our field supervisors, Mr Rawat, translates for the MES personnel. The 3 Million man hour celebration is fast approaching and has been scheduled for 12th December, various meetings have been held, however still some issues to resolve. Various lifts and movement of TLE were conducted, all went smoothly under the supervision of PCD construction manager and safety team. We are continuing to see unsafe conditions on site, this is mainly on scaffold issues, our field teams are reporting these issues and closing them out as they arise, it is important we continue to use the SOR system. This lets us record, track and close out actions quickly. EMCC incident log reviewed weekly, and any relevant information discussed during internal weekly meetings.
