About childcare experiences over 400 hours, I have trained at Teddy Bear Daycare Nursery
for 200 hours. There are 11 children, aged about 1 year old to 2 years old. My
responsibilities were to feed them lunch and snack time with spoon, feeding milk with bottle,
showering and changing diapers, putting them to bed, playing with them, singing songs with
them, and telling stories. Besides I have observed the child development since at first day of
my training. For examples the instants; they are trying to walk, crawl, and try to speak etc.
Vince is a one-year-old boy who I take care of there; earlier he couldn’t walk then I was
practicing him to walk by holding his hand. The last day when I finished my work he could
walk a few steps to me by himself, 1 month later on I visited him because I missed him so
much and I have learned that he can walk already. So if I have a chance I would like to be a
caregiver of children that younger than 2 years old because I would like to be a part of their
development in early age. Additionally, I have trained at Baby Genius child’s brain
development center (learning through play group) for 240 hours, I was a helper for teachers
and helped them taking care kids in the classes. We usually had many activities; for example
teaching them alphabets, numbers, phonic sound, learning different things from pictures or
parachute, and etc. In addition, I also enjoy many activities with the kids such as painting,
crafting, coloring, playing games, singing, feeding them, teaching them how to clean their
hand correctly, teaching them to safe the energy, and keeping eyes on their safety during
their classes. Another course I was trained about basic life support and first aids for children
because keeping the child safe is the top priority.
