อุเทน พรมแดง เป็นนักเขียนเรื่องสั้นและนวนิยายชาวไทย ได้รับรางวัลเกี่ยวกับวรรณกรรมมากมาย จบประถมศึกษาจาก โรงเรียนวัดตะพังคลี อำเภอบางน้ำเปรี้ยว จังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา จบมัธยมศึกษาจาก โรงเรียนเบญจมราชรังสฤษฎิ์ จังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา จบการศึกษาระดับอุดมศึกษาที่มหาวิทยาลัยรามคำแหง สาขาวิชาการสื่อสารมวลชน เริ่มเขียนหนังสือปลายปี พ.ศ. 2543
