จากผลการทดลองพบว่า ผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนของผู้เรียนมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยหลังเรียน ( = 24.40, S.D. = 2.27) สูงกว่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยก่อนเรียน ( = 12.05, S.D. = 2.87) ทั้งนี้เนื่องมาจากการเรียนการสอนเทคนิค KWL+ เป็นกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ที่ยึดผู้เรียนเป็นสำคัญ ผู้เรียนได้หัดคิด หัดเขียนและสร้างความรู้ด้วยตนเอง ครูเป็นเพียงผู้คอยให้ความช่วยเหลือแนะนำในการทำกิจกรรมการเรียนการสอน ดังนั้นผู้เรียนจึงเกิดการสร้างองค์ความรู้ด้วยตนเองโดยอาจถามหรือขอคำแนะนำจากผู้สอนได้ ทำให้เกิดความรู้ความเข้าใจ จึงส่งผลให้ผู้เรียนมีผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ที่กำหนด สอดคล้องกับวิสิฏฐา แรงเขตรการ (2551 : 42) ได้ทำการวิจัยเรื่อง การสอนแบบ เค ดับเบิ้ลยู แอล พลัส เพื่อเพิ่มพูนทักษะการอ่านและการเขียนภาษาอังกฤษ ของนักเรียนระดับต้น ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษหลังการสอนแบบ KWL-PLUS สูงขึ้น และค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนทักษะการเขียนภาษาอังกฤษหลังการสอนแบบ KWL-PLUS สูงขึ้น และสอดคล้องกับงานวิจัยของจิตลดา คนยืน(2552 : 11) ได้ทำการวิจัยเรื่อง การใช้กลวิธีสอนแบบ KWL-Plus เพื่อพัฒนาการสอนอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนชั้นประถาศึกษาปีที่ 6 ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. ความเข้าใจในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนที่เรียนโดยการใช้กลวิธีสอนแบบ KWL–Plusหลังเรียนมีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 39.80 คิดเป็นร้อยละ 82.20 อยู่ในระดับดีมาก 2. ผลการเปรียบเทียบความเข้าใจในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01และ 3. เจตคติต่อกิจกรรมการการสอนอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจโดยใช้กลวิธีสอนแบบ เค ดับบลิว แอล พลัส ของนักเรียนอยู่ในระดับค่อนข้างดี
