การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) การฝึกอบรมของบุคลากรสายสนับสนุน มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลรัตนโกสินทร์เป็นอย่างไร 2) สรรถนะของบุคลากรสายสนับสนุน มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลรัตนโกสินทร์เป็นอย่างไร และ 3) เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการฝึกอบรมกับสรรถนะบุคลากรสายสนับสนุน มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลรัตนโกสินทร์ โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ศึกษา คือ ผู้บริหาร หมายถึง ผู้อำนวยการสำนัก, รองผู้อำนวยการสำนักฯ, ผู้อำนวยการสถาบัน, รองผู้อำนวยการสถาบัน, ผู้อำนวยการกองต่างๆ ผู้ปฏิบัติงานหมายถึง หัวหน้างาน, หัวหน้าแผนก, หัวหน้าคนงานและผู้ปฏิบัติงานต่างๆ จำนวน 173 ราย ผลการวิจัยพบว่า
