โครงงานฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษากระบวนการระบบฐานข้อมูลเอกสารต่างๆของแผนกควบคุมการผลิตอันได้แก่ เอกสารการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางวิศวกรรม เพื่อนำมาปรับปรุงและพัฒนาให้มีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น โดยการนำ Microsoft Access 2010 มาเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลแทนการใช้ Microsoft Excel ซึ่ง Microsoft Access 2010 นั้นมีประสิทธิภาพที่ดีกว่าในการเก็บข้อมูลจำนวนเยอะ อีกทั้งยังมีฟอร์มรูปแบบการใช้งานที่ดูสวยงามกว่าและสามารถใช้งานได้ง่าย
การนำเอาโปรแกรม Microsoft Access 2010 มาใช้เพื่อเก็บข้อมูลเอกสารการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางวิศวกรรม โดยในตัวระบบได้มีการเขียน Code ด้วย VBA (Visual Basic Application) เพื่อช่วยในการใช้งานได้ง่ายขึ้น เช่น การค้นหาข้อมูล และ การรักษาความปลอดภัยของข้อมูลในการ Log in เข้าใช้งาน เป็นต้น ขั้นตอนการทำงานของระบบฐานข้อมูลนั้น จะเป็นการเข้าสู่ระบบด้วยการ Log In เข้าไปด้วยรหัสผ่าน จากนั้นก็สามารถเลือกแหล่งข้อมูลที่ต้องการค้นหาหรือแก้ไข สามารถค้นหาข้อมูลได้จากหลายๆ Key Word เช่น วันที่, หมายเลข ECI, หมายเลข Parts Number เป็นต้น ซึ่งตัวโปรแกรม Microsoft Access 2010 นี้ผู้ใช้งานสามารถเข้าระบบเพื่อค้นหาข้อมูลได้มากถึง 255 เครื่องในระบบ ผลจากการดำเนินงาน สามารถลดเวลาการดำเนินงานในการค้นหาข้อมูล, สามารถลดต้นทุนในการดำเนินงาน, สามารถรวมแหล่งข้อมูลเป็นแหล่งเดียว
