ในปัจจุบันคนไทยมักใช้ยาจุดกันยุง แล้วเทียนหอมเริ่มหมดไปพร้อมกับวัฒนธรรมที่เสื่อมถอยเนื่องจากคนในปัจจุบันได้นำเอาวันธรรมตะวันตกเข้ามาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชีวิตประจำวันเพื่อเป็นการอนุรักษ์เทียนหอมไล่ยุง กลิ่นตะไคร้ พวกเราจึงจัดทำโครงงานเล่มนี้ขึ้นเพื่อศึกษาค้นคว้าสูตร และวิธีทำเทียนหอมไล่ยุงซึ่งเป็นผลิตภัฑณ์ชนิดหนึ่ง และกลุ่มของพวกเราได้รวบรวมข้อมูลไว้ในโครงงานเล่มนี้ เพื่อให้บุคคลที่สนใจได้ศึกษาและเป็นแนวทางต่อไป
