ข้าพเจ้าเป็นบุคคลหนึ่ง

             ข้าพเจ้าเป็นบุคคลหนึ่งที่มีความใฝ่ฝันตั้งแต่เด็กว่า อยากเป็น “ครู” ฟังดูแล้วอาจเป็นเรื่องธรรมดา ที่เด็ก ๆมักจะคิดแบบนั้น  
             ตอนสมัยที่ข้าพเจ้ายังเป็นเด็กมักจะชอบชวนน้องๆ มาเล่นเป็นครูกับนักเรียน โดยที่ข้าพเจ้านั้นเล่นเป็นครู และชอบสอนหนังสือให้กับน้องๆ ที่เป็นนักเรียน  โดยคิดว่าครูนั้นมีหน้าที่สอนหนังสือเพียงอย่าเดียว

             แต่พอข้าพเจ้าโตขึ้น... สิ่งต่างๆได้ทำให้ข้าพเจ้าเปลี่ยนแนวความคิด หันเหไปเรียนสาขาอื่น โดยที่ไม่มีความเกี่ยวข้องกับอาชีพ ครู เลยสักนิดเดียว เมื่อข้าพเจ้าเรียนจบ ข้าพเจ้าก็ได้งานทำเลย และงานที่ทำอยู่นั้นตรงกับสิ่งที่ข้าพเจ้าได้เรียนมา  และที่สำคัญงานนั้นกำลังรุ่งเลยที่เดียว แต่ไม่รู้ว่าอะไรมาดลใจ...  ที่ทำให้ข้าพเจ้าลาออกจากงาน  แล้วมาสมัครเป็นครู นี้แหละค่ะ  คือ  จุดเริ่มต้น

            การเป็นครูจริงๆ นั้น แตกต่างจากที่คิดไว้มาก ข้าพเจ้าเคยคิดว่า  ครู คือ ผู้ที่ให้ความรู้   แต่พอข้าพเจ้ามาสัมผัสจริงๆ ทำให้ข้าพเจ้ารู้ว่า ครู คือ ผู้ที่ปั้นดินให้เป็นดาว ผู้ที่สร้างคนให้เป็นมนุษย์  และถามตัวเองอยู่บ่อยครั้งว่าทำไปทำไม  เราทำเพื่ออะไร (ถ้าเพื่อเงิน... ไม่ใช่อย่างแน่นอน เพราะงานเก่าได้เงินมากกว่าตั้งเยอะ) แต่ข้าเจ้ามีความสุขที่จะทำ  มีความสุขที่จะเหนื่อย  และยอมแลกกับอะไร หลายๆ อย่าง กับการเป็นครู

           หน้าที่ของครูนั้นช่างหนักสมชื่อว่า คุรุ  จริงๆ หลายครั้งที่ข้าพเจ้านึก ท้อ เหนื่อย และร้องไห้ อยู่หลายหน แต่ข้าพเจ้าก็สามารถลุกขึ้นกลับมายืนได้อีกครั้งและอีกครั้ง  ได้  เพราะ ลูกศิษย์ ทำให้ข้าพเจ้าได้มีแรงบันดาลใจในการทำงาน  ทำให้รู้ว่าเราทำเพื่อใคร  อยู่เพื่อใคร  ทุ่มเทเพื่อใคร  ถึงแม้ว่าข้าพเจ้าจะเหนื่อยแค่ไหน  แต่พอได้ยินคำว่า “อย่าท้อนะคะ  อาจารย์  หนูรักอาจารย์คะ” ความเหนื่อยเหล่านั้นก็หายไปทันที   

            ถ้าผู้อ่านเป็นครูเช่นเดียวกับข้าพเจ้า...คงจะเข้าใจว่าเป็นอย่างไร  และคงมีความรู้สึกคลายๆ กัน
