3. Knowledge หรือองค์ความรู้นั้นจะต้องครอบคลุมในหัวข้อวิชาต่างๆดังต่อไปนี้
- Air law – กฎหมายและข้อกำหนดต่างๆทางด้านการบินหรือ Flight Operation รวมไปถึงขั้นตอนการปฏิบัติเกี่ยวกับการบริการจราจรทางอากาศ (Air Traffic Services) ที่เกี่ยวข้อง
- Aircraft general Knowledge – พื้นฐานการทำงานทั่วไปและข้อจำกัดต่างๆเกี่ยวกับเครื่องบิน การทำงานของเครื่องยนต์, ระบบและเครื่องวัดต่างๆ รวมไปถึง MEL : Minimum Equipment List (MEL นั้นจะมีความสำคัญมาก เพราะระบบอุปกรณ์บางตัวเสียไปอาจจะทำให้บินไม่ได้ หรือถ้าเสียไปจะเสียได้จำนวนเท่าใด)
- Principles of flight - หลักและทฤษฎีของการบิน อากาศพลศาสตร์เบื้องต้น
- Flight performance calculation, planning procedures and loading - ทฤษฎีเกี่ยวกับสมรรถนะของเครื่องบิน, ขั้นตอนวิธีการวางแผนการบิน รวมไปถึงการคำนวณระวางน้ำหนัก
