การศึกษาค้นคว้าครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสมรรถนะการบริหารจัดการของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดตาก สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาตาก เขต 1 และเพื่อเปรียบเทียบสมรรถนะการบริหารจัดการของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดตาก สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาตาก เขต 1จำแนกตามประสบการณ์ในการดำรงตำแหน่งผู้บริหาร ประชากรที่ใช้ในการศึกษาค้นคว้า เป็นผู้บริหาร จำนวน 228 คน กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็น ผู้บริหาร จำนวน 146 คน โดยใช้วิธีสุ่มแบบแบ่งชั้น (Stratified Random Sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการรวบรวมข้อมูลได้แก่ แบบสอบถาม สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ (Percentage) ค่าเฉลี่ย ( ) ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) และการทดสอบความแตกต่างของค่าเฉลี่ย โดยทดสอบ (t-test)
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า
1. สมรรถนะการบริหารจัดการของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดตาก สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาตาก เขต 1โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก เมื่อพิจารณาเป็นรายด้านเรียงลำดับจากมากไปหาน้อย ได้แก่ ด้านกาบริหารทั่วไป รองลงมาคือ ด้านการบริหารงานวิชาการ ด้านการบริหารงานบุคคล และด้านการบริหารงานงบประมาณ ตามลำดับ
2. สมรรถนะการบริหารจัดการของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดตาก สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาตาก เขต 1ที่มีประสบการณ์ในการดำรงตำแหน่งผู้บริหาร
