ความเป็นมาของพระธาตุนาดูน

ถิ่นฐานอารยธรรมจัมปาศรีในอดีตกาล สันนิษฐานได้ว่ามีความเจริญรุ่งเรืองมา 2 ยุค คือ



1. ยุคทวารวดี ระหว่าง พ.ศ. 1000-1200



2. ยุคลพบุรี ระหว่าง พ.ศ. 1600-1800

ค้นพบและการก่อสร้างพระธาตุนาดูน



เมื่อวันที่ 8 มิถุนายน 2522 ได้ขุดค้นพบสถูปบรรจุพระบรมสารีริกธาตุ สถูปทำด้วยทองสำริด แยกเป็น 2 ส่วน คือ
