แนะนำสถานี สถานีเกษตรหลวงอ่างขางเป็นสถานีที่สำคัญเทศไทยในการวิจัยพืชเขตหนาว โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งไม้ผลเขตหนาว ไม้ป่าโตเร็ว พืชผัก สมุนไพร ไม้ดอกไม้ประดับ ชาจีน ฯ การดำเนินงานแบ่งเป็น 3 ลักษณะ คือ

2. งานถ่ายทอดเทคโนโลยีเกษตรบนพื้นที่สูง เป็นแหล่งวิชาการและเป็นศูนย์การเรียนรู้ เป็นสถานที่ฝึกอบรมเจ้าหน้าที่ เกษตรกร นักศึกษาจากสถาบันและหน่วยงานต่าง ๆ ทั้งในและต่างประเทศ

3. งานพัฒนาและส่งเสริมอาชีพแก่เกษตรกรชาวเขา โดยมีส่วนราชการต่าง ๆ ร่วมดำเนินงานในรูปของคณะทำงานศูนย์พัฒนาโครงการหลวงอ่างขาง
