ประวัติ[แก้]
ธนินท์ เจียรวนนท์ เกิดเมื่อวันที่ 19 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2482 ที่ย่านเยาวราช กรุงเทพมหานคร (ชื่อภาษาจีน ก๊กมิ้น) เป็นบุตรชายคนที่ 5 ในบรรดาบุตรทั้ง 5 คนของ นายเอ็กชอ แซ่เจี๋ย ชาวจีนแต้จิ๋วอพยพ นายธนินท์เริ่มทำงานเป็นครั้งแรกที่ร้านเจริญโภคภัณฑ์ เมื่ออายุได้ 19 ปี หลังจากสำเร็จการศึกษาด้านพาณิชยกรรมที่ฮ่องกง โดยทำงานในตำแหน่งแคชเชียร์

ต่อมาได้โยกย้ายไปทำงานที่สหพันธ์สหกรณ์ค้าไข่แห่งประเทศไทย และบริษัทสหสามัคคีค้าสัตว์ จำกัด ตามลำดับ กระทั่งเมื่ออายุ 25 ปี ได้กลับมาทำงานอีกครั้งที่เจริญโภคภัณฑ์ ปัจจุบันเป็นผู้บริหารระดับสูงของเครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์ รับผิดชอบบริหารงานในตำแหน่งประธานกรรมการและประธานคณะผู้บริหาร เครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์มีชื่อเสียงเป็นที่รู้จักดีว่าเป็นบริษัทผลิตและจำหน่ายอาหารสัตว์ที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลก มีกลุ่มธุรกิจในเครือฯรวม 10 กลุ่ม ประกอบด้วย กลุ่มธุรกิจเกษตรอุตสาหกรรมและอาหาร, กลุ่มธุรกิจเมล็ดพันธุ์ ปุ๋ยและเคมีเกษตร, กลุ่มธุรกิจการค้าระหว่างประเทศ, กลุ่มธุรกิจการตลาดและการจัดจำหน่าย, กลุ่มธุรกิจพลาสติก, กลุ่มธุรกิจพัฒนาที่ดินและอสังหาริมทรัพย์, กลุ่มธุรกิจโทรคมนาคม, กลุ่มธุรกิจยานยนต์และอุตสาหกรรมทั่วไป กลุ่มธุรกิจพืชครบวงจร และกลุ่มธุรกิจอาหารสัตว์เลี้ยง

ชีวิตส่วนตัวสมรสแล้วมีบุตรทั้งสิ้น 5 คน ชื่อคู่สมรส คุณหญิงเทวี (วัฒนลิขิต) เจียรวนนท์ มีบุตร-ธิดา 5 คน เป็นชาย 3 คน หญิง 2 คน ประกอบด้วย:

การศึกษา[แก้]
ธนินท์ เจียรวนนท์ เข้ารับการศึกษาชั้นประถมที่โรงเรียนสารสิทธิ์พิทยาลัย อำเภอบ้านโป่ง จังหวัดราชบุรี จนจบการศึกษาในปี พ.ศ. 2492 และได้ไปศึกษาชั้นมัธยมจนจบในปี พ.ศ. 2494 จากโรงเรียนซัวเถา ประเทศจีน และอุดมศึกษาในปี พ.ศ. 2499 จากสถาบันศึกษาฮ่องกงวิทยาลัย รวมทั้งผ่านการศึกษาอบรมจากวิทยาลัยป้องกันราชอาณาจักร หลักสูตรภาครัฐร่วมเอกชน รุ่นที่ 1 ปี พ.ศ. 2532

นอกจากนั้นนายธนินท์ ได้รับปริญญากิตติมศักดิ์จากหลายสถาบัน ได้แก่
