เทคโนโลยีที่ทันสมัยในปัจจุบันทำให้การติดต่อสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประชากรโลก เป็นไปด้วยความรวดเร็ว โอกาสติดต่อกับกลุ่มคนที่อยู่ในความเชื่อ หรือวัฒนธรรมที่แตกต่างจากตนเกิดขึ้นได้ง่ายจนแทบไม่ทันรู้ตัว ดังนั้นหากคนมีความรู้ ในวัฒนธรรมที่แตกต่างก็จะนำไปสู่ความเข้าใจกันมากขึ้นและส่งเสริมการอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างสันติ กระทรวงวัฒนธรรมจึงจัดทำข้อมูลเบื้องต้นเกี่ยวกับวัฒนธรรมไทยเพื่อประโยชน์แก่ผู้สนใจ

ศาสนา

๑. เมื่อไปวัดในพุทธศาสนาควรแต่งกายสุภาพเรียบร้อย อนุญาตให้สวมรองเท้าเดินรอบอุโบสถ/โบสถ์ แต่ต้องถอดรองเท้าก่อนเข้าอุโบสถ/โบสถ์ และบริเวณที่มีป้ายบอกแสดงไว้
