     สาเหตุที่น้ำด้านภายนอกสามารถเข้าไปอยู่ภายในแก้วได้ก็เพราะเมื่อออกซิเจนที่มีภายในแก้วถูกใช้ในการเผาไหม้จนหมด(เทียนดับ) จึงทำให้ความดันอากาศภายในแก้วมีน้อยกว่าภายนอกแก้ว   ความดันอากาศภายนอกจึงดันให้น้ำนอกแก้วไหลเข้าไปในแก้วที่มีความดันอากาศน้อยกว่านั้นเอง
