งานเทศกาลหิมะซัปโปโร เป็นงานเทศกาลประจำปีงานหนึ่งที่ได้รับความสนใจจากผู้คนทั่วโลก และในรอบปีนี้ ก็จัดขึ้นเป็นปีที่ 60 พอดิบพอดี ในตัวงานเทศกาลก็จะมีการประดับประดางานประติมากรรมหิมะขนาดใหญ่โตประมาณ เท่าๆกับตึกแถว 3-4 คูหา ไปจนถึงงานขนาดเท่า 2-3 คนโอบ จัดแสดงไว้อย่างมากมาย แล้วก็มีส่วนการประกวดงานประติมากรรมหิมะจากนานาชาติ ซึ่งชาติไทยของเราก็เป็นหนึ่งประเทศที่เคยได้รับรางวัลชนะเลิศงาน ประติมากรรมหิมะมาแล้วด้วย
