Samet has lovely beaches and a range of places to stay to suit most budgets, although dining options are very limited apart from the ubiquitous beach BBQ. There are always fire dancers on the sands in the evening, although some are small children.
Unfortunately an open sewer discharges into the sea towards the end of the town beach, just before the mermaid statue. The smell is appalling and it's surprising the restaurants on either side get any customers. Today a rack of squid, covered in flies, was drying in the sun less than 2 metres from the sewer. I wouldn't recommend the squid!
