บทคัดย่อ

จังหวัดขอนแก่นเป็นจังหวัดขนาดใหญ่ในภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือมีแม่น้ำไหลผ่านหลายสายเช่น แม่น้ำพอง แม่น้ำชี และยังมีอุทยานแห่งชาติอีกหลายแห่งที่ควรค่าแก่การอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรอีกมากมายเช่น อุทยานแห่งชาติภูผาม่าน อุทยานแห่งชาติน้ำพอง ข้อมูลจากกรมประมง กรมป่าไม้และข้อมูลทางจังหวัดขอนแก่นพบว่า จำนวนพันธุ์ปลาพื้นถิ่นในจังหวัดขอนแก่นที่เคยมีอยู่จำนวนมากปัจจุบันมีการลดจำนวนลงอย่างต่อเนื่อง รวมถึงทรัพยากรทางธรรมชาติที่ถูกทำลายไปที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อพันธุ์ปลาพื้นถิ่นในจังหวัดขอนแก่นให้ยิ่งลดจำนวนลง
โครงการศูนย์การเรียนรู้เพื่อการอนุรักษ์ระบบนิเวศวิทยาปลาพื้นถิ่นจังหวัดขอนแก่น เป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้เชิงนิเวศทางด้านระบบนิเวศปลาพื้นถิ่น รวมถึงเป็นศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนาระบบนิเวศพันธุ์ปลาพื้นถิ่นเพื่อขยายพันธุ์คืนสู่ธรรมชาติ เพื่อเป็นแนวทางแก้ปัญหาการลดจำนวนของปลาพื้นถิ่นในจังหวัดขอนแก่นทั้งจากการจับปลาจากธรรมชาติและการรุกรานพื้นที่ป่าอีกทั้งการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติที่ปัจจุบันถูกทำลายจากการพัฒนาทางเศรษฐกิจและอุตสาหกรรมรมในจังหวัดขอนแก่นเพื่อให้เกิดระบบนิเวศที่สมบูรณ์แบบยั่งยืน เพื่อให้ประชาชนชาวขอนแก่น จังหวัดใกล้เคียงรวมถึงนักท่องเที่ยวได้เข้ามาศึกษาความเป็นมา ลักษณะภูมิประเทศ ภูมิอากาศ แม่น้ำ อุทยานแห่งชาติ ระบบนิเวศ รวมถึงพันธุ์ปลาสำคัญๆในจังหวัดขอนแก่นที่ควรค่าแก่การอนุรักษ์ และเป็นพื้นที่สำหรับนักวิจัยและพัฒนาได้ใช้เป็นแหล่งทดลองทางระบบนิเวศวิทยาปลาพื้นถิ่นได้วิจัยและพัฒนาเพื่อพัฒนาระบบนิเวศและขยายพันธุ์ปลาพื้นถิ่นคืนสู่ธรรมชาติรวมทั้งเป็นแหล่งให้ความรู้แก่เกษตรกรผู้เพาะเลี้ยง โครงการนี้จึงอยากที่จะเป็นส่วนหนึ่งที่ช่วยให้เกิดการตระหนักและเห็นความสำคัญของทรัพยากรธรรมชาติเหล่านี้เพื่อนำไปช่วยกันพัฒนาระบบนิเวศให้คงอยู่แบบยั่งยืน ตามแผนการพัฒนาของจังหวัดขอนแก่นต่อไป
วิทยานิพนธ์นี้ได้ศึกษาเบื้องต้นเกี่ยวกับการออกแบบอาคารพิพิธภัณฑ์สัตว์น้ำ พฤติกรรมของผู้ใช้สอย วิธีการและรูปแบบในการจัดแสดง ระบบอุปกรณ์สำหรับการดำรงชีพของปลา ข้อมูลของปลาพื้นถิ่น ลักษณะภูมิประเทศ ภูมิอากาศของที่ตั้งโครงการ แล้วนำมาวิเคราะห์หาข้อมูลในการออกแบบด้านแนวความคิด พื้นที่ใช้สอย ที่ตั้งและขนาดของโครงการ เพื่อสร้างสภาพแวดล้อมที่เหมาะสม
รูปแบบอาคารโดยคร่าว ดังนี้
ก) ลักษณะของโครงการเป็นอาคารประเภทพิพิธภัณฑ์ที่เน้นการจัดแสดงพันธุ์ปลา โดยมีองค์ประกอบหลักๆคือ ส่วนบริหาร ส่วนวิจัยและพัฒนา ส่วนเทคนิค บริการ และงานระบบ ส่วนจัดแสดง ส่วนสาธารณะ ส่วนบรรยายและส่วนพื้นที่จอดรถ รวมพื้นที่ใช้สอยทั้งหมดประมาณ 5,600 ตารางเมตร
ข) ที่ตั้งของโครงการอยู่สวนสัตว์ขอนแก่น เลขที่ 88 ม.8 ต.คำม่วง อ.เขาสวนกวาง จ.ขอนแก่น
มีขนาดที่ดินประมาณ 2.5 ไร่
ค) รูปแบบของสถาปัตยกรรมในพื้นที่จังหวัดขอนแก่นมีความหลากหลาย แนวความคิดหลักในการออกแบบจึงเน้นไปในส่วนของการจัดแสดงโดยใช้รูปแบบของวัฐจักรของปลา ที่เป็นการส่งเสริมให้ผู้เข้าชมรับรู้ถึงลำดับขั้นตอนรวมถึงการดำรงชีวิตในธรรมชาติของปลาชนิดต่างๆ
ง) ภาพรวมของอาคารเป็นอาคารสูง 2 ชั้นใช้รูปแบบอาคารเป็นเหล็กและกระจกเพื่อเน้นการสะท้อนบริบทโดยรอบซึ่งเป็นป่าดิบแล้ง มีต้นไม้จำนวนมาก จึงไม่ต้องการให้ตัวอาคารเกิดความโดดเด่น เน้นให้เกิดความกลมกลืนกับธรรมชาติมากที่สุด
