ปรัชญาการศึกษาควรจะมีส่วนหนึ่งที่วิเคราะห์และวิจารณ์ความคิดต่างๆ ทางการศึกษา ประเมินผลดูว่าความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับการศึกษาในปัจจุบันนั้นถูกต้องแล้วหรือยัง และมีผลกระทบต่อการจัดการศึกษาอย่างไร รวมถึงได้เสนอความคิดใหม่ให้กับการศึกษาด้วยแนวคิดทางปรัชญาที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการศึกษาอย่างไร
