การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระดับการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของข้าราชการกองอำนวยการรักษาความมั่นคงภายในราชอาณาจักร และเพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของข้าราชการกองอำนวยการรักษาความมั่นคงภายในราชอาณาจักร เป็นการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ (Quantitative Research) ประชากรและกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือ ข้าราชการกองอำนวยการรักษาความมั่นคงภายในราชอาณาจักร ส่วนกลาง จำนวน 284 คน ได้แก่ ข้าราชการประเภทอัตราประจำ จำนวน 24 คน และข้าราชการประเภทอัตราช่วยราชการ จำนวน 260 คน สุ่มตัวอย่างแบบแบ่งชั้น (Stratified Random Sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ได้แก่ แบบสอบถามเชิงสำรวจ การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้โปรแกรมสำเร็จรูปทางสถิติ และสถิติที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ การแจกแจงความถี่ (Frequencies) ร้อยละ (Percentage) ค่าเฉลี่ย (Mean) ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (Standard Deviation) และการถดถอยพหุคูณ ( Multiple Regression)
