เมื่อวันที่ 11 ก.พ. นายอิสระ ว่องกุศลกิจ ประธานสภาหอการค้าแห่งประเทศไทย และประธานกรรมการหอการค้าไทย เปิดเผยถึงการหารือระหว่างคณะกรรมการร่วมภาคเอกชน 3 สถาบัน (กกร.) กับธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย (ธปท.) ว่า ในส่วนของหอการค้าไทยได้นำข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับผู้ประกอบการในภาคการส่งออก รวมทั้งสถานการณ์อัตราแลกเปลี่ยนในช่วง 1-2 เดือนที่ผ่านมามาหารือ โดยมองว่าช่วงที่ผ่านมามีผลกระทบจากสถานการณ์เศรษฐกิจที่ไม่ปกติเกิดขึ้น อาทิ ความผันผวนของเศรษฐกิจแต่ละประเทศ เช่น ยุโรป, สหรัฐฯ และญี่ปุ่น ตลอดจนราคาสินค้าเกษตรที่ปรับตัวลดลง รวมทั้งผลกระทบจากราคาน้ำมันในตลาดโลกที่ลดลงเกือบ 50% ซึ่งทั้งหมดมีผลกระทบต่ออัตราแลกเปลี่ยนของไทยในการแข่งขันด้านการค้ากับประเทศคู่แข่ง
