งานวิจัยนี้ได้นำเทคนิคเหมืองข้อมูลมาประยุกต์ใช้ในการเปรียบเทียบวิธีการทางเหมืองข้อมูลเพื่อทำนายการสำเร็จการศึกษาของนักศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตตรังเพื่อใช้เป็นแนวทางในการรับนักศึกษาและการดูแลนักศึกษา และช่วยในการตัดสินใจของอาจารย์ บุคคลากร และนักศึกษาได้ โดยผู้วิจัยได้จัดเก็บข้อมูลเป็น 2 ส่วนคือ ข้อมูลส่วนตัวของนักศึกษา และข้อมูลผลการเรียนของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตตรัง แล้วนำข้อมูลทั้ง 2 ส่วนมาเปรียบเทียบวิธีการทางเหมืองข้อมูลเพื่อทำนายการสำเร็จการศึกษาของนักศึกษาทั้งหมด 3 วิธีคือ การจำแนกด้วยต้นไม้ตัดสินใจ การจำแนกด้วยเทคนิค Naive Bayes และตัวแบบเทคนิคโครงข่ายประสาทเทียม โดยใช้โปรแกรม WEKA เวอร์ชั่น 3.6.10 เป็นเครื่องมือ
ผู้วิจัยได้ทำการทดลองศึกษาตัวแบบต่างๆ โดยผลของการศึกษาสามารถทำนายการสำเร็จการศึกษาของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานรินทร์ วิทยาเขตตรังได้ และผลของการใช้เทคนิคเหมืองข้อมูลพบว่าตัวแบบที่สร้างขึ้นการเปรียบเทียบวิธีการทางเหมืองข้อมูลเพื่อทำนายการสำเร็จการศึกษาของนักศึกษา โดยมีความถูกต้องร้อยละ………….
